The oldest form of hair removal.

While many people think sugaring is a new trend in the beauty industry, it actually dates all the way back to the ancient Egyptians and is the oldest form of hair removal on record.

Made only from sugar, water, and lemon juice - it is the most natural and environmentally friendly version of waxing we have!

While sugaring provides less discomfort than traditional waxing methods, it is not going to be completely pain free. The first time with any hair removal, especially for Brazilians, is slightly more painful than when you come in for maintenance. With that said, there are ways for you to minimize your discomfort during and after your appointment!

Preparing for your sugar appointment:

  • Ensure the hair is at least 1/4 of an inch long for the smoothest results. If you have been shaving, we say wait about 2 weeks after your last shave before getting waxed.

  • Exfoliate the skin before your appointment. This will help get any hairs that are trapped under the skin, up and out - giving you smoother results.

  • Keep yourself hydrated and avoid consuming things that can be dehydrating (i.e. alcohol, caffeine, etc.)

  • Take a couple of Tylenol 30 minutes prior to your wax to lessen the discomfort and reduce swelling.

  • Discontinue use of any retinols 1 week prior to your waxing appointment. (This typically only applies to the face).

  • Yes you can have hair removal done while you are on your period. If you're comfortable, we're comfortable! Please just have a tampon of menstrual cup in place for the appointment. Some women are a little more sensitive during that time of the month.

Aftercare and maintaining those results:

  • 24-48 hours after your hair removal session, avoid anything that can cause further irritation to the skin or anything where bacteria can enter your open follicles (i.e. hot tubs, saunas, hot baths, swimming pools, pedicure tubs, etc.)

  • After 48 hours begin to exfoliate the skin regularly with both a manual and chemical exfoliator.

  • Keep your skin hydrated to keep the hair soft so it can easily exit the skin, preventing ingrown hairs.
